I noticed it too. Thanks for giving me the push to read it. Also,

FWIW, the NYT has a longer story about her in its Good Reads. Incredibly interesting. Worth noting: her collection may be worth as much as 7.5 million dollars.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone get worked up over asymmetry before. And, you want them in what amounts to baseball shirts?

A good bit of news in the face of such a horrible action taken by Texas legislators. Will the article get a bump back into view once updated with the bundle link, Linda?

Fun fact: Jennifer Lawrence was playing 40-something female characters in Silver Linings Playbook and Joy when she was in her 20s.

It’s almost like someone in a profession with multiple corporate sponsors these days can’t just declare entire groups of people unworthy of human rights or publicly tell people to kill themselves while at work any more!

Fun fact: a former Jezebel writer lost her brother to complications from leg-lengthening surgery.

Just admit you made a stupid comment and bow out. Reacting like this just makes you seem immature and a little bit too salty.

I’m 6'4", which I guess means I’m somehow king in your reality... not that I have any interest in occupying that fantasy.

No, “short” is on the same list as “fat”. (Full disclosure: I’m tall and fat, and would never in a million years trade that for being short and in good shape. Short guys don’t get any respect, and not only that, they’re constantly gaslit about it, and that really sucks.)

I’m 5'4'’, why when anyone makes fun of anyone’s body for any reason it’s awful but when it’s height, which I can’t control, it’s hilarious?

I’m 6'2" and I have no issues with her being fired.

I’m 6' and I don’t have any problem with her being fired. I can’t pretend to comprehend the cultural implications of the slang she used, but you can say “I prefer tall men” without saying “Short men aren’t humans and should have surgery to fix their defect”. Replace tall/short with any other immutable identifier about

Would you react the same way if she’d said “fat people have no rights, they should all get bariatric surgery”?

Exactly. I always figured that the Mirror universe is quasi-ephemeral and exists only as a reflection of those intersecting it. It doesn’t quite have it’s own internal continuity absent external engagement. Obviously there’s some underlying architecture that avoids hard resets and maintains some element of a history

Because crypto fucking sucks and the only people that think otherwise are the ones buying into the scheme?

Because Steve was a 88lb weakling before he got the serum. Peggy was a trained military officer with a stronger form when she got it, making her basically a proto-She-Hulk.

Some people are just able to handle conversations longer than three sentences, I guess.

While this issue was the most Bendis issue ever (did someone else catch the cameos in the first two spreads? And damn those word bubbles) the entire arc has been an excellent example of how abusive relationships can damage a person forever. In that vein, I think it’s one of Bendis’s more nuanced, greatest works.
