You reminded me of the Bill Bryson story.

What is most disturbing (and frightening) about she and others like her that spew this bullshit is that we as a society of humans never learn from history (might have something to do with what and how we learn history in this country, but I digress.) People have said these inflammatory things and there is never any

Every single trans person would love to stop talking about our genitals and sex lives, but the goddamn cishets in a panic about how icky they think we are won’t let us. We just want to live our lives without worrying our careers will be ended, or that we’ll be murdered, just for being who we are.

Please, your conservative hero’s are easily the most sensitive bunch of man babies that have ever existed. Trump, Rogan, Tucker, Ingraham, Meghan McCain, Megan Kelly. They live in permanent outrage and stupidity

Ok incel, move along now

Already got one, thanks. Guess what? Someone perpetuating the mindset that people like me are okay to abuse, which landed me personally in the hospital his summer by some bigot calling me a “sissy faggot”? Not actually funny.

ok incel, move along to your safe space, which I guess is a Joe Rogan podcast and a swanson frozen dinner

Can you envision the day Dave goes on Fox News because they “support” him?

Judging by the hate I’ve gotten for daring to speak out against Chapelle, as a trans woman, that is exactly what they’re upset about. They want to pretend they’re okay with trans people, but they also want us to be quiet, and keep ourselves unseen when it comes to perpetuating hateful mindsets.

And I fucking hate contrarians thinking that they’re intelligent when all it is is saying the opposite of what others are saying.  There’s nothing edgy about it, it’s not a sign of deep thought, it’s just annoying as fuck.

You can’t pick and choose who you’re going to make fun of.

“Look, man, you think I *want* to make fun of these dying children? Hell no! But I have to, comedy requires that I make fun of them, in front of their already-grieving families. I’m a martyr, if you really think about it!”

>> upset that someone is upset.

I’m curious exactly what the line is that even conservatives aren’t willing to back.

This what I what I was afraid of. Chappelle is going to dig into the whole “I’m being silenced” edgelord thing and use this as fuel to be even more contrarian.

You can’t pick and choose who you’re going to make fun of.

“Ugh, can you imagine having so little to do that you feel like you need to protest *jokes*? I’m gonna get a sign and go down there and really show them what frivolous protest looks like!”

Who protests a walkout ? seems like these Chappelle fans/freedom of speech types are upset that someone is upset

Man if that tour thing did happen (which I suspect it will not, for a variety of reasons), can you imagine how stale and busted the trans material in it will be? It’d be tripling down on doubling down, which he already did with this special, and he certainly isn’t gonna learn to not be a shithead about trans issues

Any time I hear a comedian talk about how they have to “take risks” and whatnot, it always strikes me as a pathetic, feeble excuse. The risk in comedy is not being funny, but the idea that shitting on some group of disadvantaged people is a risk makes so little sense.
