This season Walt is pure villian anyhow.  I haven't seen one scene where he has any emotion or regret.  I think killing Gus was the finale for Walt as a human being.

I would think the biggest issue of killing the kid (if we completely remove the psychopathic murderer part) is that likely the kid's going to draw the exact heat the crew wanted to avoid in the first place.  Police, media all decending on that area to track the kid down.
