I am aware of the turnaround Mazzara had to do but I was there, I saw all of those later episodes unfold and they failed.  The writing is horrible on WD.

I wonder if Gilligan's past work with X-Files and all the drama that went on there helped him with dealing with the network on Breaking Bad.  Also, AMC, as dumb as it is, is nothing near as dumb as NBC.

I think the reason it hasn't taken off is that we all are to aware of the process and how studios work nowadays that we know it is a wasted effort.

I kind of wish it was all of them making the decision together.  I think they have been through the most of anybody as they had no control of any of this (Harmon did.)  It would be the sweetest thing to know they all got together off season and made this decision to out Sony as being really wrong on this.
