That’s tough, but every WRX/STI owner I know has had a similar story. They are so unreliable and just overall crappy cars built like shit. They are stupid fun though I can’t deny that.. when they are running.
I had a 2003 WRX. Bought it when I was much younger and a little dumber with 81k on the close. It was a POS but I loved it. It was in the shop so much, had the transmission rebuilt 2000 miles into ownership (reverse gear broke trying to parallel park - seriously, wtf?), then the turbo failed, then I lost a coolant…
And it cost the head of Buick his job too.
I’ve owned two now, first a G35 sedan and now a G37S sedan. I can’t say enough good things about them. They’ve got a ton of amenities, reliable as can be, comfy, and over 300hp on tap. (at least with the V36 platform) Plus, having the sedan means you aren’t being constantly grouped in with the coupe demographic who…
