It read higher for me, most of the jokes mentioned were pretty funny (the Jew thing HAS been overdone but maybe Family Guy is just really bad at it). But then I've always had a higher tolerance for that kind of humour.

I think it's a lot more likely they just wanted nothing to do with what was for the most part a folk pop tour, which they would have had to take a financial loss to be on. Also why I wouldn't hold your breath for Savages to be on any new version.

Tom Joad is a good album but it's nowhere near Nebraska, which is song for song up there with pretty much any acoustic singer songwriter album ever recorded. It's that good.

Isn't that what the main article is implying too?

Being a public pariah for the rest of your life because of an angry mob mentality? If you think those are fair consequences for people who 'say 'things that make them look like jerks' you may be an actual sociopath.

Agreed. The decade petered out around autumn '97, probably even 18 months before that, give or take a few great post-Britpop LPs.

All those bands were good in the grunge/gangsta days, largely because they got signed on the back of grunge's success.

But the song implies the hollering would be fine if the guy was in his own car and had money. Just saying.

Physicality + sex appeal + acting ability + charisma + a certain level of indentifiability for international audiences. What other British actor in that age range has all that?

It's a shame too, because Owen would have been an exceptional Bond. I think the issue was either he wasn't interested in getting typecast or he asked for too much money.

Well, the Human Torch is primarily a visual character so while his colour doesn't DEFINE him, it is pretty clear cut. when you have to change the relationship between two main characters to fit the colour change in then it becomes an issue.

Connery was great at his peak but every film he was in but it was the right time to change. He was prrrretty bad in Diamonds are Forever and Never Say Never Again.

It's not like there are a huge amount of eligible actors around, at this point it's probably Elba or Kit Harington.

If they can have a ginger Bond and an Australian Bond, this is really nothing. A female (or for that matter gay) Bond would probably be taking it too far outside the core character though, at that point you're pretty much in a completely different character that happens to have the same name.

And De Niro has it now.

The book is divisive but it's a genuine work of art - the endless descriptions of clothes, food, etc. help build the character and the setting, indicating what's important in his world in a way the film's budget can only half match. The film's just a milquetoast, tonally wrong, cheap-looking version of the book,

What, no mention of Dizzee Rascal pretty much stealing The Big Beat whole for Fix Up Look Sharp? And surely Dance to the Music has to be here - I feel like I've heard it a million times in other songs.

I get not putting the women's belt on the line because the match had to work as an overall exhibition for the women's division, though eliminating what clearly seemed the most talented team was bullshit.

It legit sound like half the crowd were actually chanting 'New Day rocks,' which is amazing considering.

Have to agree. It was a great story but Lynch is just superior in the ring to Bayley. Having said that, there's no doubt all four Horsewomen should ideally be competing on a bigger stage.
