Why would they care about perpetuating their genes? They’ll eventually be dead and therefore stand to gain no benefit by having their genes spread or not. If the motivation is egotistical to be remembered in posterity, having children isn’t the way to go either.

You love your parents or your partner or whoever for what biological reason? You can feed yourself, take care of yourself without them. They took care of you when you were little at great expense and discomfort to them. What rational reason would they have to do that? 

Of course you believe in your cat. If another animal, who you didn’t know, came up to you and did the same thing, would you be even half as tolerant? Probably not, because you don’t know that a strange animal is play fighting with you versus actually trying to hurt you.

The only reason a disproportionate amount of voting power is currently being held by white people is because most minorities decided to stay in heavily populated states like CA, TX and NY. There is no law mandating that they are banned from moving anywhere they like. If they want more voting power, why don’t they move…
