If you want someone to change their stance on an issue, then yes be nicer to them. That is what actually works, whether or not they deserve it.

But those people will always exist and use their vote to further a racist agenda. Trump didn't bring out the vote, enough people considered Hillary equally bad and stayed home that she lost. So the problem was people who couldn't decide whether overt racism or mishandling emails was a greater threat to our nation.
That was because we wanted her to win. Obama is the only presidential candidate I have ever liked.
You see the problem here, there was no Batman on the ballot and voters had to pick someone.
I would argue that CarmillaVonDoom attacked you by claiming your lot as fellow travelers. I am a liberal but I do know my share of centrists and many of them considered Hillary to be equally bad.
I literally know zero people who voted for him.
There is no need to capitalize the word "cat".
Hi Republicans and centrists,
I think that makes sense and the biggest problem with race discussions on the left is that people can't agree on a lot of vocabulary and stuff. From the perspective of those with privilege, it seems like the remedy is everyone having the same privilege, like being pulled over and not being terrified is a right all…
I tend to agree because people hate being called racist, like even racist people hate that, which is fine because at that point I just want to insult them. But for someone who is merely considering not voting for a Democrat, calling them racist is not the best conversation starter.
Well I think they're okay!
I've heard this complaint a couple of times and it seems backwards to me. You're trying to convince people that liberals have more to offer than conservatives. If conservatives can't avoid being assholes about their views, that should theoretically make a liberal's job easier.
This is generally true, but you can't apply it to every individual person. Like if that guy doesn't get a good job, he's not just some mega piece of shit who couldn't even take advantage of systematic racism, he has other problems that he probably feels the government is ignoring. I dunno maybe all the Trump people…
Sure I get it, but like I yell at people all the time and it usually doesn't win them over. Trying to see things from their perspective is exactly the attitude you're looking for them to have.
Because no one actually wants white privilege. That is a misconception I keep hearing. Poor people want jobs and money. It is easy for someone like Trump to exploit racism among uneducated voters, and liberals should've had a more positive message to combat that instead of just yelling at them.
OP isn't defending Trump voters, it's more like don't egg them on with race baiting. I wouldn't give the white people in your example a pass, so it's only fair that it goes both ways.
Hmm pretty good advice in hindsight.
The best part of the episode was the first 10 seconds, they captured the mood very well. Pretty uninspired and random after that. I really waned to see non-brainwashed Garrison freaking out about actually getting elected and being president. Like first he'd accidentally nuke someone, then get caught jerking off in the…
Ice Bear is actually short for ISIS Bear.
