They really do look great, but I've never, ever seen a JPG that looked like that because of compression.

Well I've never been able to use Photoshop without wanting to tear my hair out, so I'm pretty alright. But about PNG...

I kill Flash with Activity Monitor pretty frequently anyway. Pretty much whenever I want to regain a quarter of my RAM.

13.3" is actually still 16:10

It all looks pretty good, but I have one bit of input and one question. Input: I don't think windows should ever go completely away. Fullscreen apps will be excellent, but windows keep it from feeling too full of stuff. On a day when I'm doing my frequent jaunting between different apps and windows to get things done,

@coldcaption: "their" being my parents. Forgot to specify that.

When I was a kid, I preferred gadgets of any sort over toys. I loved doing things with our family computer that must have been so boring that I can't even remember what they were anymore. If I could sneak a moment with one of their cellphones—gadgets that did nothing but make calls and be dull,—I would go for it. I'd

I really want to know how they keep selling these. I've never heard of it anywhere but Giz, I've never seen one in the wild, and yet they not only keep making them, but can manage to give free ones away.

I had to look at this for a moment before realizing that that actually can work.

Are you feeling alright, Jesus? I don't mean to criticize, but your grammar seems a tad off

His photos were definitely some of my favorite enhancements to the site. I've liked all of the guest art, but the legos have definitely been my favorite.

Many children in /Japan/ learn to read with Pokémon? I learned to read with Pokémon so hard that they thought I was gifted.

@waclark57: I would actually consider them pretty good if their speakers were sold at a much lower price. But part of appearing high end is having a high price, so to keep that appearance up they sort of have to.

@Settings: Definitive Technology has some speakers that are quite nice, as does Polk and Klipsch. Although, Klipsch's only good ones are in their Heritage line, which gets pretty expensive. There's also AudioEngine for small powered speakers.

@waclark57: Fun fact: I have an older Bose surround system in my basement that I use for gaming. It sounds pretty bad, but it's surround, and is still better than the speakers built into the TV.

@PSUSkier: But don't get those Klipsch sets, they're far too bright. If you're buying Klipsch, you pretty much have to go Heritage.

The problem is, what if you decide you want different speakers? What if you want better ones down the road? You already spent a whole lot of money on this thing. This is the ultimate HTIB, because it really is every single thing in a box. And if anything breaks, life is pretty bad.

@Settings: It's Bose. They're not worth it.

It will probably sound about the same as any run-of-the-mill plastic TV that someone filled with speakers. I'd like to say I could guess the number of tweeters on one hand, but neither of my hands are missing all of their fingers.
