Why do you say ‘despite’? There’s a pandemic going on, it’s not like people are going out and walking around or going to movies in theaters much or going to stores. People in general are staying at home. Which means in-home entertainment. Which means stuff like videos on demand and, yes, video games. And when they’re

Same. May be an android only feature 🤷🏻‍♂️

My Google Home app does not have an “All Settings” or “Assistant Voice” option. Not sure what this is.

If this is the fabled new switch that the rumours have been swirling about then there’s at least a little silver lining for existing switch owners that new games won’t be version locked by better specs. The processing not getting a boost means you don’t “need” to upgrade unless you fancy a bigger screen for

certainly makes me feel better about getting my switch a month ago, a bigger blurrier screen is not something I’m interested in.

Why is minding one’s damn business hard? I mean really. If you’re not paying for it or it isn’t impacting you, why the hell should you care?

Yeah, this is one of those weird cases where the portion removed is actually one of the lesser issues. It’s just because it’s a gun that is was removed. Not the inherent violence behind it, but the object itself was vilified.

uh, im sure nobody asked but i think there is a lot of charm in that blocky ass n64 mario compared to the smoother/rounder one lol. and that metal mario hat theme still cranks something fierce.

Well said.

And just to be crystal clear: My goal with this blog was more to express befuddlement that IMD, a significant annual event, wasn’t given the same due as previous events, like Earth Day or whatever the hell Bunny Day is. The last thing I’d ever want to do is try to convince you not to stop liking something

It really saddens me that everything in this game is being analyzed through some sort of min/maxing lens. It’s not just Kotaku. Unless a seasonal event or new bug type brings with it a new get rich scheme, it gets bashed as a waste of time. In an entire game about slowing down and appreciating the changes that come

Bees are cool, they can hang with me on the porch anytime and chow down on some flowers in my garden while I chow down on some tasty grilled food.

The only species on your list that shouldn’t be killed is the bumblebee. Every other one should indeed be killed. Wasps and hornets are among the the most horrible creatures on the planet. Just because they wont murder you doesn’t mean they’re deserving of mercy. I’m sure there’s a couple examples of beneficial ones,

Sorry but Hornets are assholes. Even the regular ones. I personally am on my third can of spray this year. If they stop building nests on my house and garage, I’ll stop decimating every nest I see. PS: Bees can have the run of the place.

You should definitely kill yellow jackets, those things are evil

Counterpoint: you can kill as many non-bees as you like, because wasps are assholes and they need to get out of our vacation/home areas. There are so many of them elsewhere that we can’t make a dent in them anyway. Yellowjackets in particular are going to infest more places as climate change moves them north.

Now playing

lorded over by the most insidiously craven capitalist in animalkind, but Tom Nook

Yes yes yes...but any mask is better than none. We need to stop this “well technically this mask isn’t blocking virus” talk. Folks wearing them are better off period. Here in Thailand most are just using loose hospital type masks...less than 3k for 12 million people and 50 deaths...

“Listen to women!”

Animal Crossing. Either you like it because it’s charming or you don’t because you’ve never been happy for even one moment in your life.

I love this game because it is what you make it. My wife the non gamer can be creative and enjoys a no pressure environment while I love beating the Islanders into submission with my net. It’s about learning to love the little things I guess.
