My local Target had 34 on launch day and everyone that showed up around opening time was able to get one. I strongly believe Nintendo will meed demand on these this time around and scalpers will lose out. The only people willing to pay twice the price are people with enough disposable income to just get whatever they

I’m all for absurdist humor but this bit was both unfunny and irritating.

Live action Akita should never be made. This story is best told in its original format and it would be impossible to adequately translate it to live action/cgi

I wouldn’t have seen that if you hadn’t pointed it out. I think this is a perspective thing and if her hair weren’t covering where her neck meets her left shoulder, it would look fine.

Yeah, it’s worth it if you’re a serious fan of old Nintendo games and want to be able to reliably play them on a television with a native controller for the foreseeable future. I have no intention of buying digital copies of these games on future systems ever again.

This animation looks like the show will be geared for three year olds.

What’s “insane” about slightly modified versions of the same vehicles we’ve seen since 1977?

Superheroes are exaggerated fictional characters to entertain children and help them understand morality.

Fair enough. Although the “make your own” argument isn’t really a bad argument, and seems to be what’s happening. I don’t anyone would argue that people of color should wait around for white people to depict them in popular media. Don’t we want more people of color in creative and production positions telling

We’ve BEEN doing that for centuries, can you offer some imagitive or constructive that is not along the line of “stick with the status quo”.

It’s more of a side-note. I think these concerns are valid, I just think we sometimes forget how much garbage there is on television, and that its primary purpose is entertainment (often at the expense of decent values).

I hear that. When kids do watch TV etc., they should have positive role models and characters they can relate to.

Everybody, especially kids, need to see themselves reflected back when they look at the TV, or tablet, or movie screen.

This is a strange and sad outlook on life, as well as an incorrect use of the word “objectively”.

I like this analysis. I also skipped almost all trailers for this movie because I knew I wanted to see it and had no desire to spoil the story.

The movie is good.

“The Chive” is home to a constant stream of photos of beautiful, scantily-clad women. I take it you’re careful not to lust after them?

Before pointing out the speck in your brother’s eye, be sure to remove the log from your own.
