Well, completely setting aside the discussion of whether or not the shared-universe stuff is GOOD, it's clearly not very prohibitive, at least in the only terms the higher-ups care about ($$$).

Also, I imagine that if Republicans suddenly became a party that embraced an activist government, Thomas wouldn't care, he'd still vote and opine like the Commerce Clause doesn't exist.
And that's kinda borne out by the number of them who've switched positions on equality when a family member comes out, or on Obamacare after they have a health scare.
He's definitely damaged. But there's also plenty of stories that show him capable of acting rationally, even normally. It's all in what the writer wants. Like I said, it's one interpretation of the character, and while it's a valid one, it's not the only one, and I'd rather not read another story that leads into it.
Not really, it wasn't even a thing at all until the '80s. And even then, Snyder, Morrison, Dini/Timm and Nolan have all told very good stories with a more or less sane Batman. Hell, Frank Miller would probably tell you that his Batman is the only sane response to the world he lives in.
I literally JUST said I'm over that interpretation. You're responding to the comment where I said that! Simply repeating it isn't going to do anything useful.
I'm really intrigued by Miami Vice, but man, I can't stand that lettering.
It's not terrible, but it is overrated.
I have complete faith in DC's ability to fuck it up, but honestly, a Juggalo Joker isn't the worst idea I've ever heard.
And along the same lines as b), it wasn't that long ago that Carol's previous series was out. It lasted through Civil War, Secret Invasion, and Dark Reign, so there was, what, a couple years at most where Carol didn't have a title?
Did the show establish that Prady is the SA now? 'Cause that is NOT how elections work.
That kinda makes sense, but "Florrick" was still on the firm's letterhead.
I don't agree that Marvel listens to the Carol Corps "too much", if that's the argument we're trying to make. For one thing, Marvel actively encourages the Carol Corps (and had a hand in setting it up?), so it's not like they're some special interest pushing the company from the outside.
Are we actually sure Slott is gone post SW? I will be very happy with that.
Well, that only got solicited because it's a FCBD issue. Nothing in the "regular" publishing cycle has been solicited yet, AFAIK.
The biggest problem- and man, there's a lot to pick from- is that Peter Parker doesn't do things anymore, things just happen to him.
But isn't your point that the Carol Danvers CM gets an undue amount of editorial support because of the Carol Corps? If so, I fail to see why c) puts Miles Morales in a different category.
"That's not because editorial likes him better, it's because he's a well-established flagship character, and frankly doesn't need the help. Bendis and Miles can do just fine without a lot of assistance from corporate"
I'm of two minds on that. I mean, to your credit, we can't pretend that the world doesn't exist, and we're certainly oversaturated with "women = caregivers" messages.
I think the 616 MU clearly takes the Kree's side. I can't really think of a skrull story where they haven't been the antagonist (or the point hasn't been "OH WOW, our tradintional antagonist has to work with us now!"). Plenty of stories where the Kree or the SI are helping the heroes, though.
