Yes, who can unravel the mystery of Jenny Lewis’s Buffy role.

I viewed it as Mare doing exactly what Colin’s mother accused her of - agreeing to go out on a “date” with him just so she could be near the case and pump him for information. She was clearly not interested in a romantic relationship after she agreed to go out with him. When Colin brought up what his mother said,…
Although I loved most of this episode, I didn’t appreciate the bait and switch when it came to John Ross and his son. It’s pretty shitty to introduce the potential storyline of a young child being sexually abused by their parent unless it actually adds something to the story, and in this case (so far at least), all it…
I have to figure “hire survivors” here means “hire Charlyne Yi.”
He’s promoting a book full of celebrity anecdotes, I’d attribute it more to that than to burying the Franco/Yi thing, although two birds, probably.
Yep. If she feels that he wronged her then the appropriate thing to do would be for him to apologize to her privately, at which point she can choose to accept the apology or not. I think that Me Too is long overdue and has been a very positive thing, but I think that this need that some people (mostly people who are…
- Promote protecting and hiring survivors
This is absurd. Simply put, Rogan didn’t hurt anyone, Rogan doesn’t owe anyone anything. It’s not a difficult concept to understand. If he and Charlene are friends, she can reach out and talk to him. Obviosuly they aren’t, so shes yelling out into the ether to get him to take action on something that’s not his fault?!…
Guess you didn’t read the article...
“Yi also posted a checklist of what she feels is necessary for Rogen to do in this situation, which reads..”
It’s okay to stand against abuse, to agree Rogen should do everything on that list, and to still dislike Ms. Yi.
1) Yeah, it’s a drama with some jokes (Bernie’s misogyny is so over-the-top it’s supposed to be funny, and the Lesser Belushi definitely plays it that way) more than it’s a comedy. But if you’re looking to spend a couple of hours busting a gut and forgetting your troubles, this probably isn’t the movie you want.
I’d be much more interested if they instead captioned their photos “Sexual perversity in Chicago,” even if in Minneapolis, Portland or Lafayette, La.
So not specifically about this movie but I’ve frequently wondered why so many people I know post up pictures of evenings out on Instagram with the caption “About last night...” when, knowing these people, I’d be almost certain they’ve never heard of this movie, let alone seen it.
“This season, the gang discover the strangest thing of all - their growing, changing bodies!”
Weir isn’t the best writer but I don’t think comparing him to Cline is very apt. Namely because, unlike Cline, Weir actually writes stories with a plot.
Calling Rogue One ‘impeccable’ is a bit of a stretch.
Is there actually anyone that watched it that didn’t immediately realize how blatantly staged that was?!?
I used to work for Speaker Pelosi.
Blue Velvet is undeniably the better movie and undeniably has the better, more iconic Dennis Hooper performance, but you know what? I’ve seen Blue Velvet like twice, the last time being close to 30 years ago, but I’ve probably seen Hoosiers 20 times over the years (conservative estimate). Although I recognize his…
