being all but retconned before your eyes

As far as the mustache, once the grooming regs changed to eliminate beards in the 80s, they’ve been an experiment for most fashion challenged junior enlisted and O-1s and O-2s from time to time. It’s actually highly appropriate for that character.

Dr. Jennifer Gunter’s take on this is, as always, interesting.  I wouldn’t recommend clicking on the pic she links of what happens if you don’t follow her suggestions not to buy a coffee enema kit unless you’re ready for some...interesting images.

Felicity Huffman’s daughter—whose college application wasn’t tainted by the Varsity Blues scandal that sent her mother to federal prison

I’d be very curious to read a link to some articles that document your claim.

Someone does need to find an appropriate gif of Foghorn Leghorn and incorporate Gambino into it.

Oh, don’t get me wrong: I’m not exonerating Eastwood either.

As my NATSEC feed points out from time to time, there’s a pretty good argument that Americans still haven’t come to terms with it.

I’ve found the reactions on this story so far to be pretty fascinating as an illustration of the difference between the context of living through something versus learning about it from history.

I’ve watched 7 or 8 of these, some of the rest I’ve heard about, and others are completely new.

I actually liked a good part of S1, apart from the plot forcing the entire cast to be continuously struck dumb around Parker Posey so it could ensure she’d still be around by the end of the season rather than left behind on the planet.

Der Waffle Haus.  The portions were fantastic.

The problem with that is since the main story was complete fantasy along with not being particularly compelling that, the family drama could have been far more interesting than what we saw.

A much simpler way to address this: if Harris couldn’t deal with a relatively innocuous and not-entirely inaccurate meme, how on earth could she have dealt with Trump?

As I mentioned on AV Club, this was probably my least second favorite episode of the season. (Episode 9 was worse, largely because of what it implies for the next couple of seasons.)

If you catch this before Cyber Monday is over, I’d recommend Windscribe since they’re still running a halfway decent sale on a 3 year membership - you can use some nodes for free with a data cap, but the paid version actually stacks up pretty well against the competition. There are a few smaller ones that they don’t

Alyssa Rosenberg at the WP actually makes much the same argument by pointing out that the crux of the movie is the walkout by the daughter at the bank.
