In the days when garment bags were still allowed in forward closets (which got cold during flights), smuggled in Calvados and a nice selection of Bries, Camemberts, and a few other soft cheeses I’d picked up in Normandy.

Actually, natural gas forced air heating is prevalent in large parts of Northern California, which IIRC is actually how PG&E got started a century and some change back with plentiful fields being close to San Francisco at the time. I vaguely remember that multiple lines breaking were one reason why the fires following…
I reluctantly added to Midway’s box office largely because I wanted to see if there was anything they did in the film that could possibly have any value in it.
Easily the best movie that I saw last year by far. Peter Jackson has a lot to answer for his misuse of technology in his other films, but this one makes up for many of his sins elsewhere. I strongly doubt there’s anybody else who could have harnessed what he did to create this masterpiece.
What’s the mixer bowl that you’ve got attached to the immersion blender?
This isn’t a bad deal, but the book is rather dated nowadays. The author passed away in 1980 and actually propagates a lot of the myths around it that partially came from commands trying to CYA and obfuscate their mistakes.

Interesting perspective. On the evangelical side I’m more going from the friends I have who grew up in that culture and who were allowed to play D&D in the 90s despite one having a dad who was just way off the deep end as a preacher. I didn’t know them until long past those days, so I was surprised it was allowed…
You know, your comment just made me realize that if they set this in 1986 it’s going to be a weird year for cultural references. 85 was relatively easy, and in many ways 87 isn’t going to be that tough either with GNR and such.
To me, I’ve found it not just to be the lack of information but the commitment required to watch multiple shows with scripted plot arcs over 10 or 13 hours.
I’ve never heard of this, and am intrigued.
in the late ‘80s...Dungeons And Dragons, the gang’s favorite game, was often condemned by religious groups of the time
Yeah, the original has its moments - while over the top and often fictional, the Rochefort portrayal is one of the all time greats of an eccentric savant - but on the whole it’s kind of meh.
Both and neither; it’s a red state, especially if you cross social or racial mores, but it still has some distinctly purple aspects.
It’s funny you point out you use Allrecipes.
I’m surprised it’s even marginally watchable; word leaked out that the military liaisons and others were being asked such basic questions that the script and directing for this thing was always going to have an end product that landed somewhere in the Pearl Harbor 2 range.
What an odd take on this campaign. Beshear’s stance on abortion may have nearly cost him this race, and probably the bigger mistake by Bevin was to wait until the end to focus on it. Nor does this exactly harken a new era in Kentucky with Republicans winning several down ballot races by 20% and taking back the two…
I watch Claire for a simple reason: she cooks like I do, which is to say - she makes a whole, whole lot of mistakes.
Two shows: See and For All Mankind.
Nor is it cheap, and the fact there’s still a MEU on it indicates the substantial difference in size and capability between that and the jeep carriers of old.
