Yeah they are, I’m not one to appreciate those as much since I like gathering maps and using them on long hikes. I’m more in the can-I-please-have-a-topographical-map-that’s-not-10-years-old-pls camp. Still, maps have itched my brain in such a good way since I was a kid.

Use the map at the bottom to zoom into your area. Click on the closest red flag to your location. Unless your outside the US then it should be noted that they’re USGS maps which only encompass the US.

USGS already provides these maps for free digitally but this tool makes it a heck of a lot easier to find a map that actually covers you.
