I was just thinking the same!!

Julianne, your music contributions are so good here. Please do more music history and interviews and first-hand discussions like this.

I’ll be your girlfriend Rosie

I was in grade school when Erotica introduced me to BDSM. I wasn’t actually practicing it but I did think that her music was a really deep meditation on the dynamic theraputic approach to sexuality.

Talk about “cartoonishly...” I’ve always felt like I have a cartoon’s body, even to the point where someone told me I looked like a R. Crumb woman! Someone else said I looked like I was from Love and Rockets. John Kricfalusi comes to mind... Then once I saw a Scarlett Johannson film that kinda showed her looking like

After trying to hide my ample bosom for so much of my life, I’ve finally come to the attitude that it just looks worse when I slouch. Also, I have wide shoulders so when I stand up straight I look like Brunhilde but that is just the type of looks that the Lord has given to me. I really do think it looks better to

I read this at first as psychotherapist :-)

God, I’d love to be a stylist for teens. If only I’d had access to a stylist when I was a teen, maybe I wouldn’t have made as many fashion mistakes.

He’s so sleazy but I kinda love it. It’s meatheads like this that need to be out on the front lines of our culture wars, taking the hits, non? And, it is true that the Nevada brothel industry is meant to be safe and sanitized.

Ahhh. So that’s why I love being rude to strange men who try to talk to me. It’s my only power!!!!

OK, this is just an anecdote... but when I was making more money than my partner, he was DEFINITELY resentful in a completely diffuse way that he could not even articulate. He truly thought that I made more than I deserved. When I lost my job, he started to feel better about himself and he loves being the primary

I think that makes her a great example! She’s like “no clothing is good enough for me.” OK, this is like the 4th comment I’ve made on this post, I have to stop.

I think that stars nude is like a cheetah nude. They’re just like, I’m a perfect animal, God made me this way

I like your comment aaand I think Rihanna purposely bucked the nude trend (just because she’s already done it so well) (also did she have a Chinese stylist that day because she looked so sweet, omelette memes be DAMNED) aaaaand I still love to live in a world where stars gallivant around nude-bedazzled, as though they

I think in this case it is still fashion... it’s just that the aspirational look is all about the hardbody. Sometimes fashion just has to put up with trends that have naught to do with a sewing machine.

Thank you for making me LOL

Listen, Beyonce, JLo, et al, they’re all earth angels and they’re trying to tell us that they’re too perfect for clothes, got it? They’re telling us that once your body is divine, the clothes they wear are just a joke about how they “have to” wear clothes because they’re still technically “human.” Carry on, mortals.

You’re the one who started it with “Ugh with the Yoko” : - )

“Unless someone can prove that women represent a small percentage of STEM field jobs due to them being denied positions that they truly want”

Why waste your intellect arguing with someone who doesn’t understand your argument? In that case, I’d just laugh too.
