And the actual machine time for what they showed, if done at full speed (on my machines, at least), would probably take about half an hour to an hour at most to stitch out. The point seems to be that they wanted to make the “sprites” out of embroidered characters. Much akin to how South Park started it’s animation using craft paper and then digitized that into the look once they had their software tools in line.
