As a Texan, I’m not entirely familiar with the extensiveness of safety inspections in other states, but here in Texas none of those “silent killers” are even checked.
And it’s another law to save people from themselves. The chances of someone’s car just flat out coming apart on the road are slim. The chances that it’d cause someone else on the road to get hurt are even less.
