Also an engineer and can confirm this as well. It drives my wife nuts.
The irony was that this was mere moments after calling for policies to end overseas tax havens and complaining about companies leaving the country for cost reasons.
He’s got property on the south pole and he can tell you, the ice is definitely not melting. It’s really a lovely place. It’s making lots of money. Lots. Sniff.
The running joke in our family is that BMW stands for Big Money Waster. I have never repaired a vehicle so often and at such expense as my 740.
Sartre said something like “The moment you say I believe in God is when you acknowledge that you don’t really believe in God.” Meaning that, if something needs to be emphasized, it’s more artifice than a true characteristic. (Sartre was a pretty shitty philosopher btw, but some of his sayings are clever.)
I guess high-info in this context is a pretty relative term.
The consumer pool is the greatest QC team anyone could ever have.
Case in point: I forgot my lunch today.
To go fishing, hunting, hiking or such; camping is the ancillary activity that enables the primary.
Except a 20-100% charge on a 110 is 22+ hours. One may not use that 80% charge everyday, but it’s a bit risky.
Yup. My automatic Mazda3 is by no means a bad car - it’s bloody excellent for a cheap hatchback, and I love it - but a manual would have been a huge improvement. I wanted one, but one the conditions my mom set when I was buying it (as I was 17 at the time) was that it had to be an automatic so she and the rest of…

In 1997 I bought an Eagle Vision with 270,000 miles and a salvage title in an auction. This is not yet the bad part. The only thing wrong with the car at that point turned out to be a bumper cover and a ground wire that was dislodged in a fender bender.... And about three five-gallon buckets full of grimy water from…
Manual cars have cruise control. I don’t understand your statement.
I bought a 2010 VW Golf right after my first 2010 VW Golf exploded in my driveway.
They’re vicious those things. They’ll catch you off guard and make you pay for it really quick. I have an 06 GTO. Stock to stock I was absolutely no match.
You can easily get 500hp from those things. Like..really easy. Full exhaust, a pulley and a tune will throw you well over 500hp. My good friend KJ has a black 03 Cobra and he’s done damn near nothin’ to it and it dynos at 430rwhp.
Every single dyno I have ever put a car on way supposedly “reads low” it is the oldest song and dance in tuning.
