“Trucks should cost more than cars...” Funny how things have changed in my lifetime. Cars used to be the symbols of status, success, power, while trucks were seen as bare-bones tools of the lower classes.

You seem mad and stuff.

I don’t regret my CX-5 because I want more seating. 5 seats all we need. I regret it because over time, it has slowly revealed some of its compromises and makes me wonder why we didn’t just buy a full-size sedan

Even more armchair engineering arguments! Yay!

That is the oil pan. It has to be the lowest part of the engine (gravity) and because of the engines relationship to the transmission and drive shaft/rear end (rwd)/CV axles and the hubs(fwd), the engine has to be low in the chassis.

Uh...that is exactly what it means. CX9's ground clearance is 8.8" the Seinna is 6.6".

That’s not how physics works. The floor of the CX9 is several inches higher than the sienna. Therefore the heaviest part of the car-Engine/transmission are several inches further from the ground in a CX9 than the engine and transmission of a minivan.

Hey, if you like sitting upright and wearing obscenely tall hats, don’t let me shame you for owning a minivan.

3rd row crossovers ARE minivans. Every complaint you just listed is present and made worse by a f’d up center of gravity.

Time for a peer review.

Sliding doors are - and I’ve measured in strict scientific terms - precisely ten thousand times better than any other door option for loading kids of any age into a vehicle.

I’m 6'-2" as well, and the middle row seats in our Sienna are every bit as comfortable as the front row.

too upright? every modern minivan is adjustable 6 ways to sunday.

Sure there is, it’s called “Raptor”

Believe it or not, our family drove from Indiana to Florida on vacation last year in a GTI from Indiana.

Unless it’s maybe Hellcat powered or made by Porsche I’m not sure how a crossover anything is “vastly better to drive” than a minivan other than from the “I’m not in a minivan” standpoint.

. It was even marketed as a wagon expressly until quite recently.

I think we’ve had this discussion before.

Higher ride height, common AWD, plastic wheel arches, a “rugged off road appearance”...

They have endless adjustment like every other car seat on the planet.
