There were 35.5 Million used cars sold in 2009. Keep in mind, that is the number that actually sold, not the number that were on the market available for sale. But, using that decidedly low number, and dividing the 667,000 cars in CFC by it, we get 1.8%. When you factor in the number of cars gone unsold that year, it…
As for Cash for Clunkers the ENTIRE point of it was to help poor people who couldn’t afford another car because their POS was worth 10 bucks and it worked just fine....There is no universe where morons who subscribe to hurrrrp its goona do this so we shouldn’t do that should even actually be listened to...YES some…
Close enough.
I can see both sides of it. Seems silly to reduce the used car market like this, but also if we actually want to reduce our emissions more effectively, then it makes sense.
Agreed there too. Hell, the Thunderbird has a history of using futuristic or alternate tech too.
The main foci here are ICE owners whose cars are at least eight years old and still in running condition. I even think “Thunderbolt” would be more appropriate. It’s still vaguely blasphemous, but at least it has some electrical connotations.
There's far too much metal between the rear wheel arch and the rear window for me to agree with you.
If it was in the mid $20k range, It’d be a serious contender for a daily commuter for me in the next couple years. I
Won’t kill the Mustang ... immediately.
That just sounds like you have a weird ownership of the mustang namesake.
So do you hate it because of its name, “Mark E,” do you hate that it’s going to have Mustang styling cues, or do you just hate on everything that’s a crossover?
The Mustang is a good looking car. Using its styling cues on another car is good. This is the right position.
Everyone is freaking out because they see Mustang and Electric together but dont see that its just a styled inspiration. Most act like the regular Mustang is just going to disappear which is not the case, there is nothing wrong with more options.
The gloriousitude of owning a car you can completely disassemble and reassemble in a weekend is offset by the fact that you NEED to disassemble and reassemble the car once every year or two.
Torch is right. Get the karmann ghia.
Proud owner of this veloster. I believe thats my jobs parking lot
The front bumper is just taken off completely. I’m not sure if it’s waiting to be modified, or if a fully custom bumper is being made.
