That’s not true.

It’s not the accent. Or, rather, not mainly the accent.

And, thus, prime roles in the U.S. are given to black Britons because American casting agents LOVE Brit actors (the illusion of greater training, range, and verifiable cheap price). So the few roles available in U.S. film at high levels, is removed from black U.S. actors.
