To oversimplify, it’s up to the ruling *ahem* majority party to do something about it and they have no interest in doing anything about it.

She said she’s hesitant to give *more* solids. So the kid is getting some solids with the breastmilk. It’s not been proven that more solids helps babies sleep anyway, it didn’t make a difference to my kid for sure. Every kid is different.

I personally can’t say having left that part of the country but it wouldn’t surprise me at all. The entire political spectrum is sliding right. Beliefs that were ultra conservative at the time are now, at best, middle of the road. Today’s “Raging Liberals”, 20 years ago, would have been relatively moderate.

Many (many) years ago I attended parochial school in a very (very) red area. Even then the very parents that would benefit the most were against vouchers because it was so obviously a terrible idea. It is mind boggling this is even still a discussion.

This woman would say go to work and be an advocate. When ‘those’ men start saying “the women folk just wanted a day off”, put them in their place. The point is to illustrate how much Women in the workforce are doing, not women and their allies.
