If you want to go to a restaurant with excellent food and diverse waiters, GOOD.

Why are people acting like this shit is new?!
Employers get away with looks-based discrimination everywhere, it’s just more obvious in restaurants and bars.
I love the article. It’s extremely well written and there are some great points. I have one problem with it.
Seeing attractive servers has become so common that the absence of good looks might seem strange. It’s the same reason why so many Japanese restaurants are staffed with Japanese servers, craft cocktail bars are crewed by bearded and tattooed men
I hope this is sarcasm, but I think I’m wrong. If this is a real comment then dividing competitions into men’s and women’s is done for, which means women are done competing in sports.
The fundamental difference is that we segregate our sports by sex to allow equal competition. Just like we segregate boxing and wrestling by weight. Anyone is allow to move up to a higher class freely, but you can’t choose to compete at a lower one unless you can meet the standard.
Celebrity virtue-signals with her totes progressive tweets.
But nonetheless it’s a shitty joke and a stupid thing to write.
yup. I honestly got no problem with the tweet.
Is it possible to say something about one trans person without it equating to saying it about all trans people?
Special tax breaks not really the pathway of equality.
I don’t have any problem with this per se but it seems a bit odd we are worried about taxes on tampons but not food?
Honestly, I just can’t get excited about repealing “tampon taxes.” I live in a state where everything (except, oddly, newspapers and magazines) is subject to the state sales tax. I don’t see the reason for tampons to receive an exemption when other basic necessities (food, medicine, toilet paper, etc.) are also taxed.…
Makes sense. Men buy condoms and have to spend much more on razor blades (at least those of us who shave daily). I’m looking forward to the legislature eliminating this injustice any day now. /s
France banned all religious headgear (hijabs, Kufis, even yarmulkes so as not to single out Muslims) in public schools a while back. They’re pretty equal opportunity militant secularist over there.
I really tried to like the show, but it was just too openly partisan for me. Not that Colbert or Stewart did not also have clear political positions, but they were at least willing to call out BS or hypocrisy wherever it was.
I love Larry Wilmore, but I knew the Nightly Show wouldn’t last. They have the exact same problem so many of the less aware writers here at Jezebel have faced. No matter how right or funny or clever you are about it, people simply do not want to be lectured all the time, and the minute they realize that lecturing is…
Not sure how anyone is disappointed or shocked. The show simply was not funny or informative. I watched the first 30 episodes and I loved the roundtable discussions a la Bill Maher but he kept having rappers on that couldn’t put two words together and comedians that thought they were there to force their routine on…
I watched here and there, but every time I did it, was always about race in one way shape or another. Sometimes, I just want laughs without race baiting/ commentary from comedy central late nights show. Wish him the best he is funny just needed to spread out the topic of the night a little more.
