@nekoama: Good sir, I don't think at this point that casting another asian ethnicity to play 'Japanese'would be considered insensitive. There are plenty of mixed asian actresses out there that would fit the casting call of "uniquely beautiful".

I'm more concerned about the Runaways being brought to the big screen as little more than two dimensional characters. I sense it's going to be like The Last Airbender. The race casting issue became last place because the characters were so bland. After watching TLA, I couldn't have cared less about the racial casting…
