That trope is not “racist.” And the trope is more “completely random outsider becomes new chosen one.” Which is one that cross-cuts all sorts of races and/or cultures.

Agreed. Casting him Asian plays right into racist tropes. Oh, he’s a martial artist so naturally he NEEDS to be of Asian decent. The character is white. Get over it.
