Actually, it has a lot to do with cars. It's not often a late model mustang goes for $950,000. That and the fact that regardless of your political views, this "charity" (read: scam) is misleading people and stealing the identity of a legitimate charity, which makes this article a valuable public service.

"I'll donate money to charity if any of the Jalopnik writers can identify a Republican for whom they have voted in a general election."

Usually when a product is "fulfilled by amazon", as this one is, it's pretty safe. That means the seller shipped it to Amazon, and Amazon has verified that it is the correct item. Also, easy returns.

Give me an old Defender 90 any day.

I have to agree about the Trailhawk. Whenever I see fancy paint on an off-road rig, I just think "mall cruiser".

The J-12 is great and all, but the extremely squared off B-pillar and bedrail make it look like a HUMMER H3T

No, it's a throwback to the old FC Jeeps. This is the first result from googling "jeep fc":

Not long ago, I saw a woman driving on the freeway (I580 in Richmond, CA) eating off of a plate with a knife and fork, the plate balanced between her chest and the wheel. But people with bluetooth are the problem. Clearly.

I agree. According to Wikipedia, the best this can be called is a "four-door coupe", which to me spells sedan (lack of headroom and blacked-out B-pillar be damned).

There actually is a McDonald's imitator. It's called McFoxy's, and was on a "No Reservations" episode in the Ukraine. They have their "restaurants" right next to McDonald's.

It's always worth it to call your phone provider and negotiate with the customer retention department (assuming your contract is either over or almost over). I got over $100.00 off the in-store upgrade price last time I upgraded (T-mobile) simply by threatening to get an Iphone.

Good advice; will do! The nice thing is, my wife takes pilates at the same gym I climb at, so we can go together and still do our own thing. But, yeah, she comes first, of course.

That's awesome. We don't have any kids yet (just got married in October), but I fully intend to have my kid(s) climbing as soon as they're walking.

Same here. Lost of people in the Berkeley Hills (near my house) have huge boulders in their front or back yards, and I get jealous every time I pass one and think about how they're not even climbing them. Pity.

Where were the Mythbusters when this happened? Looks like their handiwork.

You forgot, "convertible conversion 90% finished. All the hard work is done!"

I like the sit start, but those feet are a little big for a V2/3. I'll bet there are some sweet V5's and up on the shaded overhanging face though.

Totally correct, but with Amazon, it's worth pointing out that they only make a profit of approx. 1%. Of course, $5,000,000 is still a drop in the bucket compared to their overall sales and profit numbers, but you have to be pretty careful if your margin is that low.

I'm assuming the 12 person capacity includes the trunk, because that does not like comfortable seating for 12.

I just eliminated clutter by not making a Do Not Need List.
