I agree with you 100% My current stable includes a couple parts NA Miatas, a 90 Mazda 323, an 85 RX7 and the bloated pig that is my 11 128i.

I’m starting to come around to the CUV segment.

These really are great little cars. Super easy to drive. Decent on trails. Amazing on snow/ice (don’t even need snow tires or traction devices). Feels solid and safe.

All that said I wish they’d at least make the 2.5L engine an option.

Make fun of it all you like, but I’ve personally convinced multiple people to buy Crosstreks instead of shitty SUVs of various flavors. That alone should make it more loved around here.
