Neither the mechanics, nor the stage designs are focused on the smash ball. That doesn't even make sense, since Final smashes wildly differ in effect. Some stages are just flat platforms with pretty backgrounds. I mean, no part of your statement makes any sense.

Some people have the option of buying games on multiple platforms. Their choice of which platform to buy for could, and justifiably so, be dependent on whichever version of the game looks (and performs) better.

I think it will. Faster gameplay, no tripping, and hopefully no broken characters. Also seems like more meteor smashes. This year is going to be my first Evo, and I'll be playing Melee. Hope to go again next year and play Smash 4.

Well first off, the game isn't out yet, and there will likely be more characters announced or at least in the game. Secondly, did you miss my earlier reply? There is clearly a LOT new in the game.

They've announced 5 new characters. All the characters won't be new. They reveal veterans as well.
