I thought the “next on” clip showed Arya & Gendry kissing?

I kept waiting for a reanimated corpse arm to punch out of the crypt, right between them.
For just a split second, I though somehow that Bran had caught the knife. And I can’t decide which I would have preferred. Totally don’t begrudge Arya the kill, though.
We have a group of friend we always try to see Marvel movies with, & this is just the day that worked for all of us. It’s a lot to process, emotionally. Kinda wish I could take the day off tomorrow, but I gotta go & teach Latin to a bunch of STUDENTS.
Same here. Yowza.
And that would even fulfill the prophecy, technically, that a “little brother” will kill her. I may be misremembering, but I don’t think Maggy the Frog’s prophecy specified that Cercei would be killed by HER little brother, just A little brother.
But, really, let’s face it—there’s an embarrassment of riches here. There…
Fair, but he was able to keep this truth from her for a while (not clear how many days had passed since Sam told him). I don’t expect him NOT to tell her, but the timing is a bit too plot convenient, IMO. This night, of all nights, he has much much bigger fish to fry.
Reread the comment—not that Gendry just found out she was a girl (yup, that happened years ago), but when he KNEW her, spent any time with her, was *also* all those years ago. The last time he saw her she was still very much a girl, not woman—not even a teen. So for Gendry, Arya was still just a kid in his mind. That…
Bella Ramsey continuing to deserve her fan-favorite status.
For those wondering whether Maisie Williams used a body double, & in general how she reacted to the scene when she found out about it:

Exactly. That’s a big part of why it’s been such a huge phenomenon. Great characters embodied perfectly by a great cast.
Maybe they could kill Cersei together?
Also, Jon’s never shown any sign of actually wanting to rule. Does make you wonder why he picked that moment to tell Dany. Seems like the kind of thing that could wait--certainly till after this battle, if not till THE end.
Legit laughing out loud, & I loved the way they let the scene play out & just let Tormund drink & drink.
And they really let the scene breathe, took their time. It was lovely, all around.
The seen her grow up part is the reason, I think. Lots of people feel close to Arya, so the stakes have some real emotional heft. Personally, I didn’t find it uncomfortable. I felt happy for her, because it’s something Arya wanted, she had real agency, & Gendry is someone she really cares about. Hard to think of a…
Maybe, but I’d really love for him to survive to kill Cersei.
I literally just typed that exact phrase—”Gwendoline Christie played it beautifully”—before I saw your comment. Something tells me it will be a common sentiment.
Was it ever. And Gwendoline Christie played it beautifully. And Tormund’s enthusiastic applause was delightful!
