Where do you think they got the cooking-your-enemy's-kids-and-serving-them to-him-for-supper thing from?

But…but—HOW to date her? THAT'S the tricky part….

I noted that too—undoubtedly intentional.

Re Lady Mormont: I just loved the way she said the word "call".
Re opening credits: Respectfully disagree about the Stark sigil reappearing on Winterfell. Not a "little touch" at all—it was HUGE, & I fucking LOVED it.
Re Frey pie: Nice tip o' the cap to Greek tragedy (from Tantalus & Pelops to Atreus & Thysetes).

It's a tough spot, though, because they really need the Knights of the Vale, so for the moment they still need Littlefinger. Hoping things develop so that they can pitch him overboard, though—the sooner the better.

Yeah, it's a stretch, but to be fair, it's not like we have an inset clock to let us know exactly what day & time it is everywhere. Realistically, these far-flung plot lines could be happening weeks apart.

"Little brother" candidates?
Tyrion's too obvious—a red herring—but Jaime is technically the younger twin, so…
How about Sandor Clegane, fresh off of his victory in CleganeBowl?

I get the impression that the Citadel is just really really insular. Which will be a serious problem in the wars to come, since the Citadel probably has more lore about the Others than anyone else.

Yup—it's Stark loyalty + male heir* trumping female offspring.

It ain't the fall what kills ya—it's the landing.

Something tells me it was plenty sticky.

Yeah, I kept waiting for that, too. Maybe he still can, at the start of season seven…?

That was a genuine shock—I did not at all expect we'd see Margaery die. And to take out pretty much EVERYbody in one fell swoop like that was super hardcore. Holy shit.

After Jon & Dany sit the Iron Throne together, maybe Sansa & Lady Mormont will rule the north together!

That was a nice touch—very Greek tragedy.

"So much to digest"
That's what Walder Frey said, amirite?

We don't have a strong sense of the timelines of Arya's story line relative to the doings in Westeros, so it's not such a stretch to think maybe she wrapped up her training earlier than the show suggested. But Varys' travels, that's a little tougher to justify. Eh, I'm OK with it, though.

That whole first scene in King's Landing was just…. I kept waiting for it to be a dream/fantasy of Cersei's, because, I mean, she couldn't pull all that off, right? Jesus.

I read Angels & Demons while I was in Italy, which was fun. The book is pretty preposterous, but I always enjoy fiction set in places I've been. I read The DaVinci Code, too—equally preposterous, & not especially well written, but a page-turning concept. Not sure I would bother reading another of Brown's novels,

Um, sure?
