And "Radio Song" takes too much shit. It might not be brilliant, but it's not the crap embarrassment people seem to think it is.

That was way harsh, @avclub-e129a878f7b0e5aa9ac09e0282f64ea6:disqus .
Fun Fact: At the time that Pontius Pilatus was governor of Judea, Judea was not yet a full Roman province, but rather a protectorate—a kind of semi-dependent client state. As such, Pilate had the title praefectus (though Tacitus uses the term procurator), rather than the higher-ranking propraetor or proconsul, both…

Though I did just mention that very fact on the Jan Hooks RIP article, so I suspect you were tipped off.
So many of the ones you guys list here were big for me growing up—The Muppet Show & The Dukes of Hazzard (lord help us) among them. Happy Days & Laverne & Shirley were also must-see TV. I also remember religiously watching Eight Is Enough, or "Nicholas", as my cousins & I called it. And, of course, reruns of Gilliga…
I was too young for the originals (born in 1970), but in the early '80s, one of the UHF stations in Philly regularly played reruns of the first couple of seasons of SNL, so I got Gilda & Garrett & Dan & Bill & John & co. at a relatively early age. That said, the mid-'80s SNL was "my" SNL, too, luckily for me. Still…
She's merely cute in the first two films, but we really see her grow into herself as the series progresses. By Prisoner of Azkaban, when she was, what, 14?, you could already tell she was going to be beautiful. The last two movies, I was actually distracted by how lovely she looked. The fact that she's also…
Eh, these are pretty harmless, & more often than not I find them at least somewhat amusing or interesting. Today alone I probably ran across a dozen much worse clickbait offenders.

No, no—you're thinking of Bill the Cat.
Have you seen this one? It's pretty good—maybe the best straight adaptation available. The best adaptation of any kind might be Kurosawa's Throne of Blood.
Katrin Benedikt is a real person—I went to high school with her (she graduated 2 years ahead of me, with my brother's class). Her family moved here from Iceland. She was pretty & popular, but also a nice person—not a stereotypical cheerleader. I didn't know her well, but she was basically a cool chick.
I know almost nothing about the character—spent a quick couple of minutes on wikipedia this afternoon—and I thought that clip looked pretty cool. Has real potential to be quite good, & different enough from other comic/superhero movies to be interesting.
Looking forward to watching him get biz-zay!
None of that matters, with Deadpool's healing factor. He's recovered from much worse.

Letting the Vikings leave Minnesota, instead of giving the team millions in public funds to build a new stadium for a private for-profit business, maybe now doesn't seem like such a bad idea.
To be fair, Kevin Smith does smoke a lot of dope.
I doubt they'll film the chariot race like they did for the '50s version. It'll probably look fine with CGI, but it's so much more impressive watching the old one knowing that it's pretty much real.
