That's exactly what I was expecting, @avclub-e305c4a87433ee66e142f67c450fdf6a:disqus . An opportunity missed, if you ask me.

Don't forget Athens GA's own Widespread Panic!
Were you at least super high, @avclub-97b2d5e5f92c333976018236d76658d9:disqus ?
The drum break that opens the clip is from the beginning of the song, but isn't included in the loop. Maybe that's what she meant?
I dunno, it seems about right to me, chronologically. Think about it—in the '80s, "classic rock" meant songs from the '60s & '70s—a decade or two before whatever year it was. And of course, "classic rock" could also include newer songs by "classic" bands.
Pocket Full of Kryptonite has three good songs on it: "Two Princes", "Little MIss Can't Be Wrong", & "Jimmy Olsen's Blues". I bought the CD back in the day on the strength of those three songs (& because it was the early '90s), but was disappointed that there's not much worthwhile beyond that. I look at the track…
But hot. My god was she hot.
You know who woulda rocked a comical mustache? Marcus Tullius Cicero.
As a relative AV Club old timer (I've been posting for…good lord, six YEARS?!?), I have two comments:
I thought Leonard Pierce didn't work here anymore.
Absolutely intentional. A little before that, Morris talked about how, if you don't have anything nice to say about somebody, don't say anything. I read his omission of Lawrence with that in mind.
I know, @ApesMa:disqus—I was responding to @avclub-b20754d0f1e8ae843e00a8b39a667112:disqus !
You & I seem to be in the minority here, @giggitygooballs:disqus . Check out some of the comments here bashing the comic panel visuals.
I don't think you can even say he made a good movie, not with that mess of an ending. He made maybe 80% of a pretty good movie.
I did like the couple times he split up the screen like comic book panels.
Huh. Thanks for explaining that, because it was not at all clear to me when I saw the movie.
It actually was OK till the end, then everything blew apart, literally & figuratively. Rarely have I found myself at the end of a movie wondering, "What the hell just happened?"
Maybe a fortnight's longer in Westeros? Like the way seasons can go on for years & years!
Actually, I DON'T think Jon would have tried to stop Bran from going north. Sure, he might have wanted to, but in the end he would have let Bran go, because it was what Bran wanted. I wish the show had let them have a moment together, however brief.
Well, Hodor didn't seem too keen on it.
