No joke, this may be the excuse they were looking for.

It’s... well, let’s say it’s complicated, but this lawsuit isn’t going to bring anything down.
The whole thing is a mess of contradictions and CIG can countersue pretty easily. Most likely, CryTek gets a small settlement out of it and life continues as normal at CIG.
SC was never getting released anyway.
You sad sad person... Scam Citizen was never going to be released.
You thought it was getting released before this?
It’s sad that we live in a world where people feel they can’t help someone because it opens them up to be sued. It’s just sad.

And then the studio didn’t do anything for like 5 years and completely forgot about Torchlight.
Perfect World Entertainment recently closed the Seattle office of Runic Games as part of the company’s continued strategy to focus on online games as a service.
I’ve been a part of the Runic Games community since October of 2009. That’s eight years of my life during which I’ve had the good fortune of getting to know some of the devs, make a lot of friends in the community and even get to be part of making Torchlight II. Some of the items in that game have my OC’s name on them.
You are not the target audience. Pikachu is designed to appeal to young children. Get the fuck over it.
