I hope so much that they stray from the books and we keep Murtagh.

My body sang me a song when he sang that rat satire.

In my perfect world, Murtagh lives forever and replaces all the problematic secondary characters with his delightful dry wit and stoicism and it totally doesn’t cause any problems or issues with the story.

I would like to take this time and congratulate the casting department for Starz. I never thought I would willingly offer myself to a man wearing a chunky, knit turtleneck but Hot Roger can absolutely get it.

I just really feel that Claire is supposed to be this strong independent woman. She was before Jaimie. As a strong woman, she would carry her past and her pain and be present for her miracle of her daughter. I don’t see her kind of diminishing emotionally for 20 years.

I was right there with you. Full on, ugly-cry sobbing uncontrollably.

My reaction when I heard Sophie Skelton start talking:

I was like this the entire time reading the book. I just could not get over the decades these characters lost without each other. Whoever the casting team was for this show they deserve medals. They picked two actors who give off such intense chemistry that you totally grieve for their lost time instead of thinking of

Claire is supposed to be the fish out of the water, and she’s definitely not genre-savvy (otherwise she might’s referenced H.G. Wells a few times, for example).

Graham McTavish deserves all the Emmys for that scene. He just fucking nailed it. He’s also fucking dreamy. I go back and forth between loving and hating this character so often, mostly because McTavish is so charismatic that I can’t hate him for long.

Yeah, I have a bit of a fetish for dudes with curly hair, so that right there is my jam! Not only did the stuff in France annoy me because Jamie barely wore a kilt, but his hair way always tied back and we rarely saw his beautiful curls. Bless the return to Scotland!

It’s very important to share the beauty of Jamie Fraser in gif form:

Also, there was lots of good Jamie stuff in this episode. I like it when he takes out his dagger because I feel like that’s when it’s about to go down.

Oh I remember! It was this line:

I don’t watch this show, but famn that bald old man is giving me hot daddy realness LOL

I know the sexy times are supposed to be essential to the plot and all, but at this point I'm fine with them tossing us a gratuitous shag. It's been too long!

I so wanted Jamie and Claire to get it on after their sexy as hell “play acting”. NOT ENOUGH SEXYTIMES THIS SEASON!

I thought this was a good episode, and I am anxious because I know what’s coming.

Glenfinnan. It’s where the 1745 Jacobite Rising started with Bonnie Prince Charlie arriving there. We should see it in Outlander eventually. And yes, the Hogwarth Express run on that bridge in the first Harry Potter. This pic has been my screensaver for a few years. Dreamy.

This book/season is interesting because you realize how little they know about the mechanics of time travel and how little power they have over history. It really affirms that (at least in this series) history is a tide, not a chain; even if you alter several events the tide still comes in much the same as it would

Scotland is twenty kinds of beautiful. This picture is from Glenfinnan. Out of frame to the left is the train viaduct featured in several Harry Potter movies. The water is the northern end of Loch Shiel where several aerial shots of “Hogwarts Lake” were filmed. The small structure to the left is a memorial to the
