I enjoyed it quite well. Quite, quite well.

Shallatoo!

I was wondering if they could even stretch out one season to end around Wednesday's "parley", but only the first third? So they'll pull a few cons, play some checkers… they must be packing it with flashbacks and new material.

What's weird about one group of artists imitating/'stealing' from another group?

They were mean pranks, almost as mean as what they pulled on Ira Glass. (ending the show is not a prank, obvs)

"Tane brings the pain, owns a Great Dane" road

Yep, I started to roll my eyes that they were being coy with the white-haired-person's identity. "Come on, we know it's Grandpa Garvey, you don't need to hide his face like it's a big reveal."

They're good dogs, Don.

Wayne's cult was actually accumulating weapons, weren't they? (eta: not that that's probably cause, but acts as narrative shorthand that they are a credible threat) The ROE in that raid was pretty extreme, and it felt over-the-top back then as well. The GR is guilty of harassment and trespassing. Liv Tyler's extremist

Liv Tyler made the bomb threat. Maybe the 3 kids are implicated, too. The folks undercover in the camp are just trespassers, which the police in ep 210 let go because they didn't want to start killing people. And that they create a cover story, when they arguably would have a legal justification for it in contemporary

My point is very much that, given Waco, they wouldn't do that. Waco they could at least try to claim they didn't intend to murder a bunch of people. This was a drone strike, which a bunch of people witnessed. The shitstorm would be Waco x a billion!

The A.V. Club

That strangulation scene was a little awkward… because his dad is played by Scott Glenn… who looks a lot like David Carradine… so my mind started to wander re: Kevin's motivation there.

That drone strike was pretty damn stupid, but I guess they at least had a plausible cover-up they were trying to run with. It's still not clear why the feds would risk being found out by launching a goddamn drone strike on dozens of Americans whose only crime is trespassing, but if the point is the GR is done and John

It's set in purgatory.

I was wondering if the show forgot that the Garveys had adopted a black baby, but Jill's convo suggests something happened to Lily. Maybe her mother showed up? One of several missing pieces that will presumably be answered in the next few weeks.

Why would you single out libertarians as the deciding factor of the 2016 election, and why would you think they would be horrified by this?

It was a thing, is a thing, will continue to be a thing. The rule was set but, like any regulation, companies were given time to comply. It never actually went into effect.

Hard to say people are worse off, as the status quo has been maintained. The rules were never put into effect.

Props to them for sticking with the entirety of the intro song.
