The hate is because it’s not a fun game, it was written badly, the trailers were amateur hour garbage, and because the price, not because the MC.

I’m not defending the guy, but he is both Rick and Morty, as well as the co-creator. The show died the moment they fired him. There is no way it comes back with even an ounce of the character he brought.  He may be a piece of shit or whatever, but he was that show.  

I suspect its more about protecting the game’s numbers than anything else. If the game does well then Roiland can always work with them again once he’s repaired his public image, while the game failing could potentially be blamed on his current infamy and possibly doom any future plans.

You may want to ban this kind of thing at a tournament, but let me tell you, someone rage quitting after you win is probably one of the most satisfying ways to win. When they rage quit in person, its even better
