I know the technology they’re packing into these things is probably expensive and there were much smarter people than an internet commenter who obsessed over that pricepoint, but combined with the recent PS5 price increase and Sony’s general attitude over this generation so far it makes me concerned that it’s becoming

The real question is if it will even be possible to get one, or if, as I expect, we’re looking at another PS5 clusterfluck of resellers.

What is PS even doing?! Maybe I would have bought it if it was back compat with PSVR, but its not. Even if it was $400-450 Also why does it come with headphones? Those should be optional to keep the price down. My PS5 experience has generally been disappointing.

D.O.A.

especially given Sony’s recent foray into PC releases. seems like making it compatible with PC games similar to how the quest can be connected to the PC for beefier VR experiences would be an easy way to open up the available customer base.

With Sony’s big push for PC the last few years and the fact they aren’t using some weird proprietary cable bullshit, I really hope they allow PC support.

I understand that for investors it probably sounds juicier to have people buy both a PS5 and the VR,  it’s similar to what Apple does to try to keep their users withint their own ecosystem, buy an iphone, buy airpods, buy our own premium charging cable that’s 3 times more expensive than everyone else’s for some reason

Not even one word about how vision correction lenses will work with the PSVR2. The vast majority of adults need some form of vision correction. I have lenses for all the VR headsets I use which make them far more comfortable to wear and prevent scratching or even potential eye injury from trying to wear glasses inside

That’s way too expensive for a PS5-only headset, cut off from even the PS4VR catalog. If they announce native PC support though, it becomes more attractive. High res screens with foveated rendering would be absolutely incredible, and this is a fair price for that, to be sure, but as Sony didn’t do that last gen, I

Yeah, not going to sell those unless they put like Resident Evil 9 on it or whatever. Resident Evil 7 in VR was one of the most horrifying experiences in my gaming life and totally justified the price my friend paid when she gifted me a PSVR. It made me a believer in the tech.

But, without an experience like that,

Really want one but I’ll think i’ll wait until Sony proves they are gonna keep releasing high quality titles. Don’t mind the price if support is sufficient.

Ouch. At that point just get a quest 2.

Beat Saber is a must-play, but it’s available on all platforms.

These are the least ugly Adidas I’ve ever seen.

I’ve said it over and over again, but the majority of collabs that adidas does is lazy, corny and more appropriate for children’s shoes than adults, especially when it’s a collab for a franchise where they’ll just slap a show name and character on a shoe and use the laziest colour blocking possible. zero subtly and

The final form of GameStop

Out of curiousity, does this version do anything that’s new or feels differently? From what I’m seeing it looks like an absolutely beautiful CoD that follows the same formula from over a decade ago.

Who really cares that one of the biggest franchises in the world spends a lot of money making a nice looking set piece?

Okay sure, but the reason it looks incredible is because it’s really a very, very tiny map. It’s the same reason a lot of tracks in racing games look incredibly realistic - there just isn’t that much there.

I haven’t played the mission and don’t know if it predictably ends in violence (judging by that embedded video’s thumbnail, probably). But if it does...is it just me or does it seem strange or distasteful to so accurately recreate a living, breathing neighborhood that actually exists and then to portray terrible
