Ah got it. I was thinking it was an image of the card, but it’s shared ownership. Well, it worked well for Bart, Milhouse, and Martin when they all shared that comic book so I’m sure nothing could possibli go wrong.

Given they aren’t properly regulated, they CAN be, but they don’t actually confer any ownership of those things. I think so far various NFT shit has only been able to be slapped down for IP infringement when they use infringing things to advertise them i.e. a website presence using logos, art, etc. but not for the NFT

Can NFTs be licensed characters/IP without the IP owner’s permission? Makes it sound like NFTs are a shady way to make money.

But you will be able to spend the new “Doomcoins” to get yourself a randomly generated “DoomApe” NFT avatar which gives you access to the promise of a new Doom related thing that nobody actually has the rights to do. And it will be made by “the DoomApe community” which you can be part of and will do everything so long

This whole console is actually stolen off of some Korean games console design from 2 years ago https://www.behance.net/gallery/107610195/OASIS

Just think, you’ll now be able to *actually own* the running shoes your QWOP guy wears! Isn’t that what you want? Isn’t that what you’ve always dreamed of?

Okay but maybe the controller is really, really big.

Hey, John! According to the article linked below, this company consists of four people. It is conceivable that all four people are from the same sphere; marketing, finance, or just tech Bros. Which explains their amateurish approach to the announcement of this console and language, since it belies I find them in a

And we haven’t even touched on how the emblem is the Game Cube’s, swapping its negative-space G for a P. Or how the controller is a Dollar Store Dual Sense with the trackpad fallen off.

The Amico, which is basically dead in the water at this point, not only has a better chance to come out, but will likely be a better value than whatever this is.

At least the Ouya actually happened, though. There’s zero chance of this thing ever existing.

The Raspberry Pi can and will run a LOT more games than this thing ever will. Real, actual games, not Blockchain scams with a Unity asset flip on top of it.

Ah, yes, you’ll need that 8K/120fps beast of a system to run what is basically old newsgrounds games with NFTs crammed awkwardly into them

Are we completely forgetting about Pokemon Go which surpassed the 1 bil mark like 2 years ago?

*Edit, Sorry, it surpassed the 1 bil mark in it’s second year, 5 years ago. 2 years ago, it made nearly 1 bil in a single year.

If creating a superior story and music was easy most video games would be at least be decent. Creating an enticing story is a difficult task as is making memorable music. An MTX gaming factory farm isn’t going to create something like Hades. There’s no incentive for those workers to do superior work when getting paid

Why?

I might have bought this if it were three holes…

I’m looking at a chart of Gacha game $$$ for the first 6 months of 2020, and 24 Million would put it solidly at rank 17, beating out Azur Lane, SINoAlice, Shadowverse etc etc....and again those are revenue figures for 6 months.

I just don’t like how everything is laid out in sub-categories like “genre” or “featured.”  That’s fine to have that option, but I would like to view ALL games irrespective of the genre or whether they are Ubisoft+ or not.  Just let me see everything on one big screen like I can w/ Game Pass.

Signed up for this because it would cost me the equivalent of buying demon’s souls on sale.  I clicked on two different buttons that said “classic collection” or whatever, and got two entirely different sets of games.  What a mess.  Where are the JRPGs that made playstation what it is?  Crazy.
