OK, that’s a fantastic distinction. Thanks for the clarity.

I think I was confusing “creating” fan art with “selling” fan art, so thanks for this reminder that they aren’t one and the same. I think when I see fan art my mind immediately goes to selling for some reason, which like you said is a definite grey area. I want to be clear that I have no issue with fan art - I have…
I’ll take “most hyperbolic response in the history of the world” for $1,200 Alex.
This whole art on the internet thing is weird. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I’m always weirded out by artists doing renditions of characters they don’t own, then getting upset when other people who don’t own that artwork then come along and share it, credited or not. I’m genuinely confused on how one is OK…
My hope is that I’ll play back through this and realize that it wasn’t as bad as I remember it being, but I’m not optimistic. The whole story just falls apart around the reveal, then never recovers, and Squall is probably the least interesting Final Fantasy protaganist. Really wish we’d seen a Crisis Core remaster,…
Sucks if the piracy claims are true. It was a cool design. Hopefully he can work something out with Nintendo directly cos I’d buy that shirt, but only through a licensed channel.
I’d suggest World of Final Fantasy instead.
I hadn’t played my Vita in a while so I was shocked - and I’m not exaggerating - to pick up my Vita after forgetting it was there for about a week and a half, hitting the power button and IT TURNED ON. My wife wasnt quite as excited but man I really wish the Vita had gotten more love from Sony for longer. The system…
I mean, I didn’t buy MK11 but not for anything to do with Ronda Rousey. I literally had no clue she was a Sandy Hook conspiracy theorist. Now that I do know it puts her immediately in the camp of people like Alex Jones. Hard swerve on anything she’s involved with at this point.
You can play as Princess Zelda! I’m in. I always secretly hoped Nintendo would release some post-game DLC that let you play as Princess Zelda in Breath of the Wild.
I restarted completely - not on purpose, I bought a Steam copy after playing at launch on PS4 - and I have to say, it’s like a completely different game. Quests are clear and meaningful, there’s a surprisingly engaging storyline, and the early stages of the game explain “what’s going on” way better than the launch…
I dunno why but I keep coming back to this game and it keeps disappointing me. Maybe multiplayer can “fix” it? I’m a little shocked and pleasantly surprised that they keep delivering completely free content updates (how are they making money??), so much so that I bought a second copy of the game on PC - not to play,…
Honestly, FF XIV works better as a single player experience than FF XV did, sadly. The single player storyline is one of the best FF stories in the franchise’s history.
Found this article in 2019...because the pricing and the dual app thing HAVE NOT CHANGED.
It ain’t just you.
How shitty would you feel if you did this awesome thing for your kid only to have some random internet commenter shit all over it and say how unnecessary it is?
I was told the same thing about listening to Radiohead...but the government didn’t subsquently try to take away my right to get married or share my wife’s health care because I still listen to Radiohead.
The cynical answer is money, obviously, but having worked in retail for a while now you’d be surprised how small the number of people is that buy both versions.
I’m always fascinated by how quickly the internet works...how is there this much fan content in like 5 hours?
I’m sure there are some insanely talented people at NCSSoft but I won’t sink any money into their games for the same reason I can’t get invested in any Google service - they will abandon things at the drop of a hat.
