Honestly, FF XIV works better as a single player experience than FF XV did, sadly. The single player storyline is one of the best FF stories in the franchise’s history.

Found this article in 2019...because the pricing and the dual app thing HAVE NOT CHANGED.

It ain’t just you.

How shitty would you feel if you did this awesome thing for your kid only to have some random internet commenter shit all over it and say how unnecessary it is?

I was told the same thing about listening to Radiohead...but the government didn’t subsquently try to take away my right to get married or share my wife’s health care because I still listen to Radiohead.

The cynical answer is money, obviously, but having worked in retail for a while now you’d be surprised how small the number of people is that buy both versions.

I’m always fascinated by how quickly the internet works...how is there this much fan content in like 5 hours?

I’m sure there are some insanely talented people at NCSSoft but I won’t sink any money into their games for the same reason I can’t get invested in any Google service - they will abandon things at the drop of a hat.

I’m interested to see how the PC community takes to Vainglory, since it’s big claim to fame was that it was the “pc experience” on mobile. Should be interesting. It’s definitely not a bad game at all, very cool character designs, smooth gameplay. Might be a contender.

He’s irrelevant in the music scene and didn’t seem to be raking in the cash as a streamer, so this seems like a bit of sour grapes.

Looks like the title has been updated, so now my comment looks silly.

I wouldn’t imagine Square-Enix imposed any limitations on the number of consoles - generally with special editions they’re manufacturer limited, not licenser limited. I really can’t come up with any reason Square or Disney would impose sales or manufacturing restrictions on a special edition console.

Am I missing something or is the title extremely misleading?

With this one I’m not sure if Gamestop or Sony is the culprit. My feeling is Sony overpromised on the number of units they were going to allocate to GameStop then went back on that number...but Gamestop has done this before. So...who knows. All I know is there’s no real point to “pre-ordering” stuff only to have it

Is this the game that was loosely inspired by the dev’s disappointment with Final Fantasy XV?

I meant its a shame she hasn’t done any work lately, as she was quite a good voice actress and I would have liked to see her return to voice Fran in FF XIV.

I do like how you started this comment “you had” and not “we had”. There’s so much to unpack just in that small distinction that I’m already tired.

Dude, their stories are HEAVY. After the war, the government basically took the land and gave it to the robots, which caused a violent uprising, ultimately leading to the rebels attacking the robots and causing an apocalyptic explosion. Junkrat was actually affected by the lasting radiation from the fallout and is

Yeah her original voice actress - Nicole Fantl - did a phenomenal job, but it looks like she doesn't do much voice acting of late. Or any work at all really. Shame.

Damn man the lore for this game is getting heavy as hell. Almost all of the characters have some deep, lasting tragedy in their background. For a fun, cartoony shooter this game is kindof starting to hit those feels pretty hard.
