I have to say, I’m quite pleased and encouraged to see Kotaku taking such a hardline stance on calling out this bullshit practice.

The only problem with this is that in most species with tails, the tail is used to aid with balance, so sleeving or clothing it would hinder that.

Miquo’te don’t have human ears, but to be fair to Square-Enix at least the animators try to bring a little realism to their cat-girls and cat-boys. Their tails twitch and move and are expressive, their ears will animate during emotes, they at least have thought through the biology of a cat-person and tried to infuse

This actually isn’t an uncommon trend of thought in current industrial design, so the HCD4 sounds like he/she has a background in it or is working around people who are in ID. Bezels are seen as more approachable, since you have space to put your hands and interact with the device.

As a “gamer of color” I’m immensely glad they removed the “garbage” and kept the technical mastery and attention to detail. My eyes can’t roll far enough back in my skull at the (largely) white critics complaining (!!!) that they adhered to the artistic style and removed the racist overtones. I can’t thank them

Oh, yes can’t believe I forgot about Horizon, we played through that one, beat it, and loved it, especially the storyline. Actually picking up the DLC this week. Didn’t have quite the scope of Witcher 3, you’re right, but definitely at the top of our list. Can’t believe I forgot that one.

Honestly there are very few truly free-to-play games that can hold my interest. I prefer to just pay monthly for a full-fledged MMO like Final Fantasy XIV or WoW, and get my money’s worth, rather than trying to do the math every time some new content comes out to figure out if this or that loot box is “worth it”.

April O’Neil’s middle name is Martha.

Spawn still has a massive fanbase, which actually kind of surprised me as well. I dunno if it’s more just fans of Todd McFarlane and everything he does or the character is still just that compelling as I haven’t read Spawn in ages. I do know the core Spawn book is still a pretty prestigious get for up-and-coming

This is weird but god dammit between Red Lantern Supergirl and the Turtles they just got my money.

I really enjoyed Witcher 3, but my enjoyment of single player games has been lessening lately as my fiance and I have started to play games together. I started to realize that almost every “good” or “well reviewed” single player game has a male lead. My fiance loved Fallout 4 simply for the fact that she could make

Can we go straight to the “Heather isn’t fucking around” responses from now on? Bravo.

Good on you for presenting both sides of the issue fairly, but I would take a much stronger tone against this sort of thing. Explotative is the exact right word. It’s a clear signal from the company that while the rank-and-file developers actually making the game may care about quality and telling a good story, the

When Loot Boxes / Loot Crates / Loot Packs / Whatever first started creeping into games I made a hard, unbreakable rule for myself - I DO NOT buy in-game product with real money. Period. I’ll pick up certain DLCs here and there, if there’s value. Witcher 3 had amazing DLC, and all of the DLC for Breath of the Wild has

My fiancé hates “online shootygames” (her words), but LOVES Bioshock and I’m right there with her. The atmosphere and the fact that it’s not a typical shooter are selling points, but the story is just masterful. Bioshock Infinite is one of the few games we have a Platinum on, and she got Platinum on Bioshock 1 and 2

As an (extremely) long time Apple user, I can heartily recommend pCalc. It’s the only calculator I use. It is a little frustrating that you can’t switch the default calculator icon to send you to pCalc, but it’s like, two taps instead of one to get to it so it’s not a huge deal. It was invaluable during a recent trip

Path of Exile was fun for a while but you’re right, the setting just got tiresome. Blood and human sacrifice only carry me so far into a game before they get a little troubling. Torchlight’s setting never wears on me, and the look of the game is just so refreshing even hundreds of hours in.

I have hundreds upon hundreds of hours across Torchlight I and II. They always seemed to have a sense of fun and adventure that Diablo lacked. Where Diablo was dire and serious, Torchlight was goofy and exciting. I was always interested to see what new weapons would drop, what new stuff I could do with new procs and

Oh, I assumed the game would end if you assaulted the director, so I gave them what they wanted.

Is no one going to talk about HOW FAST BJ traveled between Venus and Earth? Venus is like 162m miles from Earth...
