The problem with Kickstarter is too many people look at it as a pre-order system where your purchase is guaranteed. No, all Kickstarter has done is move the investing rounds from behind closed doors out into the public square. You’re investing, not buying. Sometimes investments go bad, which is why you diversify. I’ve

So it’s not only a racist crack at anyone who is offended by the KKK, it’s also a racist crack at Japanese folks themselves. Classy. This whole fiasco makes more sense the more you comment.

If you’r looking for a fun diversion, Marvel Heroes 2016 has one of the least toxic communities I’ve come across in an online game.

Ah, didn’t glean that from the article. Thanks for the correction.

I mean for the US market...by saying that I mean to say that it makes more sense to do a whole separate release of a reskinned “special edition” than do another run of the same product for the US market.

Ha, you just described my household. I play Horizon: Zero Dawn while my fiancé has the Switch and sits next to me on the couch, but more often than not she’ll be sitting there with the Switch paused, watching HZD intently. The storyline is far better than some of the more negative reviews would have one believe. It’s

I solve this problem by just not playing competitive. Far less stressful.

Except in this case, its not an “either or”, its a “both”...?

...but this decision actually doesn’t maximize profits for them, since it’s resellers that are profiting here. I hear the same logic with Wizards of the Coast deciding not to reprint certain cards...it would actually make more sense for Nintendo to make a fuckton more Classics and sell them, or a “Famicom Edition” or

Are you sure? I just got out of a game and was playing Mei, seemed like there was a slow component but I could be wrong. Any confirmation of this?

Um...the extra units came from the Wii U, not scalpers.

Yes, after the “success” of the Wii U they certainly should have went “all in” on an untested idea in the worldwide market.

Literally says everything needed.

How is using the Pokémon name without license “not an IP issue”?

I’ve been snapping up a bunch of Disney Infinity figures (especially the Star Wars ones!) specifically as mini statuettes. If Disney continued making them just as collectibles that maybe unlocked some stuff on their website or tied in with your Annual Pass in some way, I think they could still make a killing on these.

Sounds almost like a gambling addiction. I guess for me I just enjoy having the luxury of free time to play, so even if I lose it’s not really that huge of a deal for me (talking specifically about Overwatch here) especially since the games are so short. I have a TON of fun if the game is close and we still lose,

“The woman describes her daughter as “wild” and “free.” Then she say, “You remind me of her.” HOW?! How does this mostly expressionless American woman remind you of your wild and free Japanese daughter?”

It would have been better if they just hadn’t addressed it at all. I mean that quite literally - it was so egregiously inserted into the plot that it almost felt like I was being trolled to a certain extent.

Overwatch has the least offensive loot boxes because you literally never have to buy them - they add zero functionality to the game. I’ve never paid for one and I’ve still managed to get some cool skins that I ended up using. You don’t have to spend money on them for anything other than your own impatience. Even then

Also let’s talk about Eliza Cassan. There’s a whole subplot in Deus Ex: Human Revolution and another in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided that examines whether a virtual personality, with a sufficiently advanced enough AI, can actually be considered a “person”. Obviously Hatsune Miku doesn’t have AI driving her, but IBM Watson
