No, they only lose it if they don’t “challenge its use” in “reasonable circumstances”, in the US anyway.

I’ve been snapping up a bunch of Disney Infinity figures (especially the Star Wars ones!) specifically as mini statuettes. If Disney continued making them just as collectibles that maybe unlocked some stuff on their website or tied in with your Annual Pass in some way, I think they could still make a killing on these.…
Seems like it would be easy to do what we do with trains here in the States and have a bar come down across the pathway when the train is coming?
Sounds almost like a gambling addiction. I guess for me I just enjoy having the luxury of free time to play, so even if I lose it’s not really that huge of a deal for me (talking specifically about Overwatch here) especially since the games are so short. I have a TON of fun if the game is close and we still lose,…
“The woman describes her daughter as “wild” and “free.” Then she say, “You remind me of her.” HOW?! How does this mostly expressionless American woman remind you of your wild and free Japanese daughter?”
I think what isn’t grabbing me yet about what’s been shown of the new IT is that Tim Curry’s Pennywise always seemed to grasp what exactly made IT’s Pennywise incarnation so scary - IT LOVED being Pennywise and it showed. He was downright gleeful at times, reveling in his role as a clown that could at a moment’s…
I don’t know that he was “blaming” diverse titles and women-led titles, but highlighting a buying pattern that I could easily believe, given my own experiences both working in comics stores and being a minority fan. I mean I’ve been told to my face that it’s a “minor miracle” that I read comics since “historically”,…
It would have been better if they just hadn’t addressed it at all. I mean that quite literally - it was so egregiously inserted into the plot that it almost felt like I was being trolled to a certain extent.
Overwatch has the least offensive loot boxes because you literally never have to buy them - they add zero functionality to the game. I’ve never paid for one and I’ve still managed to get some cool skins that I ended up using. You don’t have to spend money on them for anything other than your own impatience. Even then…
Also let’s talk about Eliza Cassan. There’s a whole subplot in Deus Ex: Human Revolution and another in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided that examines whether a virtual personality, with a sufficiently advanced enough AI, can actually be considered a “person”. Obviously Hatsune Miku doesn’t have AI driving her, but IBM Watson…
Is she from THE Suttgart Hitler’s-stinky-assholes? I went to business scholl with a guy who claimed he was a third cousin twice removed on his mother’s brother’s side.
I’d love to see that list of AAA titles you’ve shipped. Any time now.
After seeing Witcher 3's animations and seeing what a game CAN be, its kindof hard to watch this. I couldn’t imagine playing dozens and dozens of hours of this.
Woah Tiny Town looks really cool. Also I really, really like how Zelda is presented in Breath of the Wild. She looks like an adventurer, as capable if not slightly more capable than Link.
...did I just see a rational and reasonable back-and-forth conversation in a comments section...?
Also at what point can we admit that sometimes the doctor knows best? Yes, everyone should have control over what’s going on with their body...but to stretch the point a bit I wouldn’t expect a doctor that was performing heart surgery to stitch me back togther, wait until I wake up, and ask me my opinion if a…
Breath of the Wild is different from most other open-world games because it is still, fundamentally, a Zelda game. Puzzles are here. Secret areas are here. All of the key hallmarks that make up a Zelda game are here, they’re just...different. It’s as if Zelda was a great work of art, and another great artist came…
It’s weird that the recommended specs are so high. I’m running an unofficial 4K texture upgrade pack at 1440/60fps with no problems on a GTX1070. My guess is like all of Bethesda’s official releases, some nice modder will come along, compress their textures appropriately and re-release them into the wild.
We see a similar reaction in sports, so I don’t know why gaming is held to this weird, different standard.
The core problem with modern Final Fantasy games is they can’t freaking figure out what they want to be. XIII had a similar dramatic shift midway through the game, only it was the opposite - after being led through the story on rails you’re suddenly dumped into this vast open world with zero context, a bunch of…
