Ha, now I remember what it was.
I was on a date in high school, and I had these super-cute shiny satin pants on (trust me, they were awesome). The satin material really didn't allow me to wear underwear with them (this was before thongs were a normal choice for women's undergarments), so I went without.
So of course, I

My lunch just consisted of a frozen red baron french bread pizza from the office break room and a mini bag of leftover Easter m&ms that I pilfered from my boss's office. It's been a tough day.

Embarrassing stories thread!
I'll post something when I think of it, but I enjoyed the "worst thing you've done" thread from last week.

I was legit wondering what that comment was pertaining to. Mystery solved.

Thanks to people who responded to my Father's Day Dinner Ideas thread last week.
 I made wine-braised short ribs for dinner, and they were great. America's test kitchen is pretty much foolproof, in my book.

I'm waiting for expert witness @cookie_monster:disqus  to comment on this breaking news.

RIGHT

I'm hoping for an "OH PIPPA" at least once. PLEASE.

This is never true.

John Oliver is one of the writers on the show. So John Oliver sounds like Jon Stewart, being (partially) written by John Oliver. Which means Oliver is saying his own words now.

@avclub-f2b489efd726db529335e31c83509c73:disqus I remember reading somewhere that Brent Spiner, of all the TNG cast, received the most love letters. I found that kinda disturbing.

He does a thing in his shows where he channels Ayn Rand, which includes dressing up in a Rand-esque dress, decided upon by the audience. Looks like they picked a good one this time.

@avclub-c1fe85b855c6d045b827f74a1e2c3fd7:disqus I think it's pretty safe to say that I won't.

Without even the dignity of the correct spelling.

@avclub-e9a31138d9c1040eb526f6ca6761e58b:disqus Well, I discovered it because there was a $4 special on Jamesons at a bar this weekend, and the waitress said, "Eh, people usually drink it with ginger ale". So I did. And it was good.

Right. It's been a win, start to finish, for Dany all season. She's going to have to hit a wall at some point.

Good point. Which leads to the next question: who will get married off to Jaime?

Maybe a new place would be a welcome change of scenery?

@dellarigg
Really? I feel like (as a 'merican) that "boy" is a weird thing to say, and "guy" is much more common once you aren't talking about a literal small male child.
