Because N64 controllers were never wireless save for maybe a few third party controllers that were experimenting with the technology (I mean, even the NES had wireless controllers that worked off Infrared sensors). N64 controllers are a “feel” unto their own that just can’t really be replicated with other controllers.

I love going to see both US national teams play but there’s entirely too many of these fanbros in attendance at the men’s games.
