I was debating this on Facebook with an old college acquaintance. He said that the AR-15 was not that different from a .223 hunting rifle? That they’re the same but the AR-15 just “looks” more military and scary?

You do realize these rifles account for a very small percentage of overall gun deaths?

Automatic I can understand. But why no semi-automatic? That takes away hunting pistols (believe it or not, those exist).

The United States would suffer a massive ecosystem collapse if we got rid of hunting weapons, and in turn people would starve in the aftermath. Including you.

What do you want him to say exactly? If he says he’s hurting, he’d get made fun of. If he doesn’t, this happens. It’s a no-win situation.

Not all mass shootings have to be motivated by religion, but many are, and this one was one of them.

Be it Islam or Christianity, it’s a pretty common factor. And Islam was definitely a factor in the Orlando shooting.

It’s just a pathetic attempt at excusing Islam for this atrocity. Islam clearly had a huge influence, to say otherwise is to be intellectually dishonest.

Out of curiosity, was Hillary asked if she was racist for trying to get in the way of the first Black president? I don’t remember that happening but I could have missed it. Has Hillary been asked if she is being anti-Semitic for standing in the way of the first Jewish president?

Yup. My best friend (a man) was in a relationship with a terrible woman who treated him horribly, abusive in fact, but he rationalized it to himself that she was just challenging, or had issues. Men shouldn’t put up with shitty behaviour from women and vice versa.

Borderline? I’d leave that out of it and just say abusive. People want to be in relationships with value them. Men and women, both. But I think it’s also clear that she didn’t want to be in relationships with these men she wasn’t very nice to - but it doesn’t mean she wanted a doormat. I read it more as she was nasty…

What you would call ‘challenging’ in a woman, you’d surely call at least borderline ‘abusive’ in a man. My rule; people who are ‘challenging’ should accept an equally challenging partner. This is not what I’ve read out of this. She’s been looking for a human Piñata who will simply absorb anything she levels at him.
