Uber is much more appealing for people who have a hard time getting a straight job. I’d also imagine that the vast majority of people with criminal records driving for Uber do so without incident. Many are probably some of their most prolific drivers.

The main issue with Uber and Lyft is making sure that drivers are fairly compensated for their time, risk, and money they put into their cars. Factoring in the lack of any support system on the company’s part, these companies are creating a whole new breed of employee to burden our economy with.
