Sure the concept there is that if you are looking at the REAR of the exhaust you can maybe tell the difference between the real payload carrying weapon and the fake....maybe. BUT that doesn’t help much AT ALL in terms of interception because 1) They probably have the same flight characteristics and 2) So now you know

That setup is what the THAAD uses for some of it’s ‘successful’ tests where a second TPY-2 is used to help cue the system. If there was a forward mode truck involved the Chinese would 1) know about it and 2) be much more vocal about it.

Actually the most likely avenue is that China plans to deploy missiles or something that oversee the south china sea and is worried that the US can use this system to see things there... which is probably valid but the other systems in play would be more discerning.

Terrell,

It is the radar cruise control module.

Actually I found you do need to move the passenger front seat forward to accommodate modern rear facing car seats. This super sucks for the passenger btw.

The CSR is still the better option. Provided you redeem the $300 travel credit the annual fee is $150 vs $95. With the 3x vs 2x dining you break even on the CSR in roughly $3333 (3333 * 3 points per = 9999*.015 redemption = $149). The Sapphire preferred would take $3800 (3800 * 2 points per = 7600*.0125 = $95.

Plenty of cards beat this though. There are quite a few 2%+ cards if just cash back is what you are going for. USAA has the 2.5% unlimited card, etc.

Ultimate rewards can get me 5%+ back depending how I do it. If you have multiple cards you can use the freedom 5% categories and THEN transfer those to the chase reserve

Terrell, Good article and right up my alley! So, one issue with the assumption that super-fuze is the be-all, end-all is simple math. So: Say you accept the article assertion that “As can be seen from figure 4, the probability of kill using a submarine-launched warhead with the new super-fuze (W76-1/Mk4A) is about

The Taurus. A car that HUGE shouldn’t feel that CRAMPED when you are inside. It’s the size of my midsize pickup with less rear seat room and the headroom in the rear SUCKS.

I think blaming conformal coat is kind of a stretch. I work in a related field and we conformal coat everything (per contract requirements actually) and the stuff that isn’t easily conformal coated we use a different coating as a preventative/moisture barrier.

Yes, I meant Minuteman III with the upgraded penaids and W78 warheads which was the last substantial upgrade (aside from the semi successful propellant replacement program)

I’ll be honest. This is a pretty bad article for a few reasons. The first being that you spent so much time criticizing the administration and basically one paragraph glossing over the fact that the Minuteman III https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGM-30_Minuteman is over 30 years old and in need of replacement. The second

This seems like the perfect situation for a lease.

I am considering a minivan and the Pacifica Hybrid is on my list for the next year or so. Minivans are TONS more practical than any “3 row” SUV. The vast majority of 3 row SUVs will never have anyone in them whereas I am going to possibily need to seat 2 adults + 3 kids and the best option so far that I have seen

You are all wrong. It means 2 door, 5 seat, 760hp, 3.5 0-60

In fairness the Pacifica is a really great minivan. I drove a rental for a family vacation 2 weeks ago and came away impressed even when comparing to the Honda Odyssey my friend has.

The choice here is obvious. Genesis G80/G90

Wow, $65k? For that amount I’d get maybe a Audi A6 Prestige (full second faster 0-60) or a Genesis G90 for a larger car that is still faster.

It does look REALLY nice but I dunno.. the G90 and A6 Prestige are REALLY nice as well
